Americans seem to love coffee. So much that over 60% of the population drinks coffee everyday. In the world over 2 billion cups of coffee are consumed daily.

There are many studies on the effects that coffee has to our health. Both positive and negative effects have been shown. While some researchers believe that is causes harm to our bodies there are some that believe that it could lower your risk for diabetes and even cancer.

The ingredients that are in coffee actually block and prevent this process from starting which will lower the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Having a cup of coffee a day could lower your risk of developing breast cancer. It has been linked to lowering the risk of Alzheimer’s as well. A study showed that women who drank 3 cups of coffee a day reduced their risk of colon cancer.

Drinking coffee in moderation is important and replacing your drinks with coffee will not fight off every disease and illness out there.
