In the Heart of Dixie, the cost of long term care has continued to remain on the low end of the spectrum. That isn’t to say, however, that long term care isn’t a common issue across the state. Long term care in Alabama is beginning to take the front seat. Nearly 15% of Alabama’s population is over the age of 65 and this aging population is beginning to face the question of how to pay for long term care.

Alabama is one of the states that has created a Long Term Care Insurance Partnership to help residents cover their long term care costs.
